PDFsam 3.0.3 released!

Hi, the new version 3.0.3 of PDFsam Basic is out! We finally added the .deb archive for Linux distributions, drag and drop of rows in the merge task selection table so you can now easily sort rows, added an option to discard bookmarks in split tasks and one to add the file name in the footer of the merged document pages. ToC generated for the merge task now has the same page size as the merged documents. Last but not least we upgraded SAMBox and Sejda so there are many fixes on the underlying PDF engine.
You can get it from here
Enjoy!

PDFsam 3.0.2 released!

We just released version 3.0.2 where you will find some nice improvement. You can now tell the merge task to create a table of contents with a clickable list of merged PDF documents; the PDF engine has been upgraded and now, when you split PDFs, results documents are optimized and in some case they will be way smaller then before; we performed some user interface adjustments that users suggested; you can now turn off the notification that asks for a donation and finally you can save a workspace on exit and load one passing it as a command line argument to PDFsam.
Here is the list of the issues and the download page

New release 2.2.1

Hi everybody,
I released versions 2.2.1 basic and enhanced, available in the download section. In these release you’ll find some library upgrade (JPodRenderer, the thumbnails generation library, among the others) and some bug fixes (most important one bug affecting the bookmarks handling during the pdf merge and pdf split).
The ICEpdf thumbnail generation has been upgraded as well to the latest version.
MacOS dmg will be available soon.

New releases 2.2.0 and 2.2.0e available

Hi everybody,
I just released the new versions of PDFsam basic and enhanced. These releases are mainly focused on bug fixes and feature requests. Now the ImageViewer for the single pages preview has zoom in, zoom out and rotate capabilities, the alternate mix has a new option that lets you define the step for both the input documents, the pdf split module has been modified to better handle input files with a big bookmarks tree and should be now much faster splitting pdf with these kind of bookmarks. The user interface has been modified with accelerator keys, warning messages if the destination field is empty and the file chooser now remembers the previous path.
Enjoy.

If you have the error message: PdfReader not opened with owner password

Hi everybody,
I want to remind you that if you want to split or merge pdf documents and PDFsam gives you the message “PdfReader not opened with owner password” it’s because you must provide the owner password to be able to manipulate the document. If Acrobat Reader doesn’t ask you for a password it’s because it opens the documents in “view” mode, but splitting or merging pdf documents are considered “edit” mode and, as the error message states, you must provide a owner password.

1.1.3 and 1.5.3e released

Hi everybody,
new branch 1 versions have been released. With these versions you’ll find a pdfsam-console with file logging capabilities, the alternate mix pdf with a new ‘step’ option and the new complex prefix “BOOKMARK_NAME” for the pdf split module.
Enjoy

PDFsam 1.1.1 and 1.5.1e released

Hi everybody,
I just released the new PDFsam versions. These versions come with a bug fixed (now PDF split feature should always manage bookmarks correctly), with a new “split PDF by bookmarks level” feature (thank you Carsten for sharing) and with a new console feature to let you rotate pages when merging PDF files (only a console feature for now..).
Enjoy
