a bugfix release of PDFsam Basic 6.0.5 is out.
We fixed the UNCOMPRESS output option failing to save some PDF files. It happened when a stream’s filter list combined a compression filter with an image filter that can’t be re-encoded, such as JBIG2, DCT (JPEG) or JPX (JPEG 2000). Those streams are now left untouched instead of breaking the save.
Also in this release:
- Fixed #856: improved dark theme contrast for tooltips, help text and log/error messages
- Refactored the logging system so heavy logging doesn’t slow down the UI
- Upgraded to JDK 25.0.4 and JavaFX 25.0.4
- Updated translations
