We just published PDFsam Basic v6.0.0.M1, the first milestone release of PDFsam Basic 6.x. This is a test release, not meant for production use, but for all of you willing to take it for a spin and help us with feedback.
Under the hood
The biggest change in this release is not in the UI but in the backing PDF engine. We upgraded to the latest major versions of both SAMBox and Sejda SDK. This is a significant leap that touches how PDFsam Basic parses, manipulates and writes PDF files at its core. Beyond the engine upgrade, this release moves to JDK 25 and JavaFX 25.0.2 and introduces a more robust accessibility layer across the interface.
